We Will Win Back Power With Truth - JJ
Former president Jerry Rawlings says the National Democratic Congress (NDC) could win power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) with truth and loyalty and not with money. He therefore, urged NDC supporters to co-operate and work hard to ensure total victory in the 2008 elections.

He said the NDC lost power because of misinformation being spread by the NPP to discredit the party and urged the supporters to be loyal and dedicated to the party.

Mr Rawlings was addressing women delegates at the NDC headquarters on Sunday during the election of the Regional Women Organiser''s position in Accra. He said destructive tendencies going on in the NDC would not augur well for a stable party that had been built through struggle, selfless dedication, as well as sacrifice and hard work and urged the supporters to work towards peace and unity.

The women congress elected a business executive, Vivian Ankrah as the new Greater Accra Regional Women Organiser after defeating Hajia Hawa Sulley 46 to 25 at the polls. Mercy Akromah Nketsia won the first deputy organiser post after Ms Felicia Akorli withdrew from the contest, while the Second Deputy went to Miss Christiana Afenyi who had it unopposed.

Nana Konadu Rawlings, advised the party supporters to be loyal, dedicated and unite to win power, come 2008. She cautioned them to beware of detractors who join the party to create confusion and urged them to vote massively for the NDC. Among those present were Madam Frances Assiam, National Women Organiser, Squadron Leader Clend Sowu (Rtd) and Mr Sylvester Mensah, former MP for Dade Kotopon.
