Barring unforeseen circumstances, the Amanfrom residence of editor of the Ghana Palaver, Jojo Bruce Quansah, would be sold by public auction today at 11am.
Mr Bruce-Quansah’s house which has been seized by the court in default of the judgment debt of ¢440 million to George Addo Kufuor, brother of President Kufuor who was libeled by the paper has been placed under an auctioneer for disposal to cover the million debt.
A notice pasted on the building under the instruction of an Accra High Court, indicates that the auctioneer’s gavel will fall on the property, today (Friday).
“ Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a decree of the court (High Court) bearing date of April 2004, in the foregoing suit (between George Addo-Kufuor, plaintiff and Jojo Bruce Quansah, defendant) the property of the defendant, having seized in execution under the writ, dated the 27th day of October, 2005 will be sold by public auction on November 25, 2005 at 11 am and unless the said decree shall sooner be ratified to writ.”
Checks indicate that the auction of the property to defray the judgment debt has not been set aside and therefore, the auctioneer’ hammer will fall on it.
Reports say Mr Bruce –Quansah has been employing all tricks in the book to save the property from being sold including his recent fake abduction, which badly backfired.
He is being processed for court, for deceiving a public officer for being declared missing.
Mr Bruce –Quansah who had initially been reported to say that he was attacked by unknown assailants after he was last seen with bloodstains in his clothes, resurfaced and changed his story and said his attackers inflicted bruises on him with knotted towels until he fell down and collapsed.
An appeal for fund launched by the Palaver Editor yielded nothing from the NDC gurus who told Jojo that they have got no money to support him.
