NUGS wishes NPP well 1/5/2007
The National Union of Ghana Students has sent warm greetings and best wishes to the New Patriotic Party on the occasion of the party’s delegates’ conference.

In a statement issued in Accra, NUGS said it saw the conference as critical to the growth of intra-party democracy especially as delegates would have the chance to quiz President Kufuor on matters of importance to them.

According to the Union, this was a novelty and a major milestone in the history of the party as far as solidifying intra-party democracy and national cohesion was concerned.

NUGS called on NPP members and supporters to use the conference to strengthen the unity that existed in the party over the years.

The three-day conference started in on Friday with the arrival and registration of delegates and would be expected to pitch up on Saturday when delegates come face-to-face with President Kufuor to seek answers on his leadership.

It is under the theme; “moving forward in unity” and will be attended by about 1500 delegates from the 230 constituencies.
