Corruption Is Nation’s Biggest Challenge – P.C. Ofori |

Tuesday, 16 January 2007 As the country marks its 50th Independence Anniversary with various activities, the need for strict adherence to laid down mechanisms to combat corruption in the country has been advocated. Hon. P.C. Appiah Ofori, NPP MP for Asikuma/Odoben/Brakwa made the observation in an interview with Peace FM, in Accra today.
According to the MP, the biggest challenge facing the country in its efforts towards economic development is corruption. Until this challenge is fully addressed, Hon Appiah Ofori said economic progress in the country will be seriously affected.
In spite of this unhappy situation, he said Ghana’s 50th Independence Anniversary is worth celebrating. He admitted that, Ghana’s Economic Achievement as compared to its 50 years as an Independent Nation, is quite unsatisfactory.By: Emmanuel Akorli
