Nation Mourns Ga-Mantse |

ban on traditional & commercial activities on… The late Ga Mantse, Boni Nii Amugi II is being mourned and offered last respect at the Ga Mantse Palace in Accra. According to our correspondent, Bernard Quanson who was at the Palace, the Ga Traditional Council presided over by Nii Adote Obuor, President of the Council is sitting in State and receiving visitors of all walks of life.
The protocol section of the funeral secretariat has allocated time for all segments of society to view the body of the late King. Chiefs, Royals & Traditional office holders are to view between 10am to 12noon. Council of state, members of the diplomatic corps, ministers of state, parliamentarians, the judiciary and top government officials turn is from 1pm to 3pm.
Delegations of corporate bodies time is from 3pm to 4pm followed immediately by the general public. This would be done today and tomorrow. There will be ban on traditional and commercial activities on Saturday 27, for a burial service and funeral cortege through principal streets and royal houses in Ga Mashie.
On Sunday there will be a thanksgiving service at Holy Trinity Cathedral, High Street, Accra. Boni Nii Amugi II, late king of Ga State was enstooled in 1965 and died in year 2004..
