Bouazza accepts Algeria call-up 2/5/2007
France-born striker Hameur Bouazza has accepted an invitation to play for Algeria in their friendly against Libya in Algiers on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old, who plays for the English side Watford, was born in Evry near Paris, but his parents are from the north African country.

According to the Algerian Football Federation, Bouazza has been named in a 19-man squad after agreeing to an international future with the Desert Warriors.

Bouazza was last year invited to play in a friendly against Burkina Faso but turned the chance down.

Algeria coach Jean-Michel Cavalli also named two other French-born debutants in his squad -- Karim Matmour and Ismail Bouzid, who both play in the German second division.
