US delegation to attend Golden Jubilee |

Accra, March 2, GNA - The United States'' delegation to Ghana''s Golden Jubilee would be headed by the Secretary for Housing and Urban Development, Alphonso Jackson.
A statement issued by the US Embassy in Accra on Friday said other members of the delegation would include U.S. Ambassador to Ghana Pamela E. Bridgewater, Millennium Challenge Corporation Chief Executive Officer, Mr John Danilovich, Assistant Secretary for Africa, Mr Jendayi Frazer, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Africa Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Presidential Malaria Initiative Coordinator Rear Admiral R. Timothy Ziemer, and Peace Core Director Ronald A. Tschetter.
It said Mr Danilovich would visit MCC sites and hold a press conference at the International Press Centre to discuss the status of Ghana''s $547 million compact.
The U.S. Congressional Black Caucus would also send a delegation led by Chairwoman Carolyn Kilpatrick and 12 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. ¨
The Congressional delegation would attend official events as well as tour cultural sites such as the Elmina and Cape Coast Castles, the W.E.B DuBois Centre and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Mausoleum. The statement said the Reverend Jesse Jackson would also lead a private delegation to participate in Jubilee activities.
