…Sends Kufuor, MP’s Pictures To Mallam A bizarre story is unfolding at Nkawkaw in the Kwahu West District of the Eastern Region where the District Chief Executive (DCE) is alleged to have engaged the services of a Mallam (Muslim spiritualist) and a jujuman to deal with certain individuals who he claimed were pestering him. The DCE was also seeking to win the heart of the President so that his requests would be granted without hindrance.
Nana Kofi Kese, DCE for Kwahu West was reported to have sent a written note to the Mallam at Namasan in the Tain District of the Brong Ahafo Region with the message that some personalities whom he claimed had given him sleepless nights, be dispatched to the world beyond (death).
The DCE’s worries were recorded in the notes he sent to the Mallam via his caretaker/confidante concerning some personalities, including the MP of the area, Kwabena Adusa Okerchiri. Other persons mentioned were Appiah Ansong, District Co-ordinator of the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP), a certain Kwasi Asante, the Regional Minister, Yaw Barima and the President.
About the MP, he wrote:
“He has made up his mind that there is nothing that I do that would please him. He is therefore undermining me with the intention of disgracing me. I therefore want him dead.”
About Mr. Appiah Ansong he wrote:
“He is someone who has made it his aim of ensuring that I fail and for that matter disgraced.
I therefore want him dead.”
About Kwasi Asante he wrote:
“He is part of the gang whose intention is to ensure my failure and disgrace.
I want to see him becoming a fool. GYIMI GYIMI”.
About the regional minister he wrote:
“He must only listen to whatever explanation I give to him should anybody especially the MP, Kakyire Adusah and his executives report me to him.”
About The President “He must only listen to whatever explanation I give to him should anybody especially the MP, Okakyire Adusa and his executives report anything to him.”
Inscribed on the picture of the President, which was a cutting from the Daily Graphic was “MR. KOFI DIAWUO”. The matter, as at the time of filing this report, was being investigated by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
The DCE’s caretaker/confidante, the courier of the deadly message, was also given photographs of other personalities whom Nana Kofi Kese wanted dealt with spiritually.
When contacted, the DCE denied the authorship of the diabolic notes, but confirmed the matter was being investigated by the police. “Please let us wait for the outcome of the police investigation,” he told Daily Guide yesterday.D. Guide
