The caretaker of the Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm at Mampong Akuapem, Mr. Kwasi Asomani (left), showing one of the two original cocoa trees planted by Tetteh Quarshie in 1879, at Akuapem Mampong, to Vice President Aliu Mahama. Those with the Vice-President include Mr. Kwadwo Baah Wiredu, Finance Minister, and Mr. Yaw Barima, Eastern Regional Minister.

This was during the Vice President’s visit to the cocoa farm where he planted a cocoa seedling to commence work on the establishment of a Jubilee Farm.

The six-acre land for the Jubilee Farm was donated by Mr. Asare Ayew.

The Vice President said the aim of establishing the Jubilee Farm was to create employment for the youth in the area.
