Ghanaian Wins International Awards. 3/27/2007
Dr. Padmore Enyonam Agbemabiese has been named the recipient of the NNAMDI AZIKIWE AWARD FOR JOURNALISM AND SCHOLARSHIP by the African Weekender, an International Magazine on Africa based in the US.

In a press conference on Friday March 23, the CEO and Publisher of the magazine, Prof. Emeka Aniagolu observed that, "Dr. Padmore Agbemabiese''s contribution to scholarship cannot be compensated but can be acknowledged. His level of poetry, which has taken a voice on its own addresses the conscience of those who downplay the excellent contribution Africa makes to world civilization, economy and intellectuality.

His recent writing for his Ph.D. in Education came out with a theoretical emergent model, a new approach to addressing education in developing countries of the world not only sets him as a scholar par excellence but also his quest for the re-emergence of African civilizations establishes him as a new Pan African thinker like the forebears Kwame Nkrumah and Du Bois."

In addition,Dr. Padmore Enyonam Agbemabiese is also the recipient of JULIUS NYERERE HUMANITARIAN AWARD FOR VISION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT. Prof. Emeka Aniagolu remarked that, "Dr.Padmore Agbemabiese is a man ahead of his times. He is a man of vision, foresight, intelligence, and a hard working man. Not only does Dr. Agbemabiese exhibit this in his writings but he also translates this into action. He is the first person to bring all Ghanaian ethnic groups in Ohio under one umbrella, THE GHANA COUNCIL.

Despite antagonisms and sabotages, he has carved a new image for Ghanaians to be respected by everybody, including political authorities of Ohio."
