Peace and Hello FM Tops Them All |

Rankings of 18 FM Stations In Ash. Region The May 14 to June 27, 2007 opinion poll and survey conducted by the Daily Dispatch newspaper in the Ashanti region in 22 of the 39 constituencies covered 67.5% of registered voters in the region. It sought the views of respondents on the performance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government; which of the NPP’s presidential aspirants they liked; voter attitudes towards the 2008 elections; which political party they felt would win if the elections were held within the period of the survey and which radio station they listened to in the mornings, afternoons and evenings.
In terms of the FM stations, Hello FM topped in the mornings, with 27.5% of respondents, followed by Fox FM (23%); Angel FM (8.6); Luv FM (8.3%) and Kapital Radio (6.4).

Peace FM Tops All
The Daily Dispatch has conducted opinion polls and survey in the Greater Accra Region on the most favourite radio station in the region. It covered 23 of the 27 constituencies boasting of 91.7% of registered voters.
This percentage of the 2,098,780 registered voters in the region is about 1,924,513. The survey period was from May 14 to June 27, 2007, and 1,050 respondents were surveyed. They were asked to indicate the radio station they listened to in the mornings, afternoons and evenings.

The FM stations covered during the research were 22 (including the BBC on 101.3 FM) but we are publishing the ranking for the top ten FM stations, Peace 104.3 fm topped the rankings in the morning category (31.1%); afternoon category (27.3%) and evening category (29.8%).
Joy 99.7 FM was second in the morning (15.6%); afternoon (13.2%) but third in the evening (11.5%). Adom 106.3 FM placed second in the evening (13.3%) and third in the morning (12.5%) and afternoon (12.4%). Radio Gold 90.5 FM, fourth in the morning (10%); fourth in the evening (8.9%) and fifth in the afternoon (6.9%).

Detailed results of the FM stations majority of Ghanaians (above 18 years) listen to in the 23 constituencies in the Greater Accra Region will be published in the coming days. The choices of majority of respondents regarding which FM stations they listen to in 124 constituencies in the remaining nine regions will also be published.
