Show Appreciation To God – Very Rev. Adjekumhene 12/28/2010

The minister in charge of the Emmaus Methodist Church, Awoshie Circuit, Very Reverend Richmond Adjekumhene has called on Christians, not to wait to be compelled before they show appreciation to God for His good works to mankind.

He said that thanksgiving does not only mean giving money toward the work of God, adding that that thanksgiving could be done in many ways.

Very Reverend Adjekumhene noted this when the church held its first service at its almost completed new church building and held a harvest festival in Accra at the weekend.

He said God does not require anything from mankind but thanksgiving and praises for His protection, care and love for them.

God, he said, is not mortal to eat and drink as beings do adding, When you give wholeheartedly, you get it back in many ways he mentioned.

Thanksgiving, obedience and complete trust are what God needs from every individual on earth.

The head steward of the church, Mrs. Florence Agyei Wiredu advised Christians to give thanks to God and also to their fellow human beings when necessary.

The president of the Jayee University College (JUC), Mr. John Donkoh, in an interview with the Times said giving financially towards the development of God’s work could in many ways help an individual to achieve his aims in life .
