Another international airline - Royal Jordanian (RJ) – has pulled out of Ghana. It ended its operations in the West African country last month.
Its fold up brings to three, the number of international airlines that have left the country in less than a year.
Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic moved out in September 2013. Air Namibia also recently announced its intention to fold up operations in Ghana by June 25.
Atlantic at the time said the cost of operations in Ghana was extortionist, especially on its Accra-London route.
Air Namibia on the other hand complained of losses due to low passenger patronage.

It is however not clear why Royal Jordanian, which started scheduled flight from Amman -Lagos -Accra- Lagos twice a week in July last year, is also folding up.
RJ currently operates in 60 nations with its fleet of Airbuses. Besides Accra, it also flies routes in Egypt, Tunisia, and Algiers.
