Education and Sports minister, Yaw Osafo-Marfo, says the world would witness an African team that would show class at next year’s world cup.
The Black Stars ended decades of wait, thumping Cape Verde 4-0 in Praia to secure their first world cup appearance in Germany 2006.
“We shall go to Germany not to participate but to show a class as a team of Africa.” Osafo-Marfo told Joy Sports.
The minister was full of praise for the team and thanked all Ghanaians for their support.
“I want to say a very big thank you to the team, the young boys have done extremely well and we must all as a nation congratulate them for a very good work done.
“We must thank the coach, the technical men who handled the them and indeed all Ghanaians for their prayerful support which we enjoyed.”
