| Ensure speedy burial of Ya Na Yakubu Andani- Minister |

The Northern Regional Minster, Alhaji Abubakar Saddique has appealed to the regional house of chiefs to help ensure the speedy burial of the King of Dagbon, Ya Na Yakubu Andani, who was assassinated more than three years ago.
Alhaji Saddique made the appeal at the swearing-in ceremony for the vice president of the regional house of chiefs, Yagbon Wura Bawa Doshie.
The minister said accusations and counter accusations by the feuding factions of the Dagbon Skin have not helped in finding a permanent solution to the Dagbon crisis.
He expressed worry that the impasse has dented the integrity of Northern custom and tradition and stressed the need to end the deadlock.
“ I am still worried about the lack of action to give a final resting place to the King of Dagbon. All of us are losers in this crisis,” he said.
President of the House Nayiri Naa Bohago Abdulai Mahami Shariga appealed to the regional coordinating council to organize a forum for district chief executives to account for their stewardship.
