Suzzie’s mother speaks Twenty three year old Suzzie Williams’s parents, Cecilia and stepfather Andrew Sackey Williams did not hide their sadness, helplessness and the anguished they are feeling now.
Speaking with numbed emotions in their Darkuman estates home Cecilia said he met her daughter’s 25-year-old boyfriend a week before the fatal accident.
She said she was unhappy especially when she saw the young man behind the wheel of her daughter’s pajero JR that she had acquired two months ago.
“ I made it clear to my daughter that I did nor favour the relationship and I warned her to be careful but she did not listen, now look at what has happened,” she lamented.
Cecilia who carried herself upright throughout the interview with Daily Guide finally broke down and said, “ I miss my daughter, dearly. I cannot believe that Suzzie is gone for good.”
She said they are waiting for the autopsy report, which was expected on Tuesday before the family could meet to plan the funeral.
Cecilia dismissed allegations being bandied around that her daughter tested HIV positive when she was admitted to Lister hospital. But confirmed that she had received details of medical treatment administered on the deceased which did not contain such information.
According to her when she rushed to the hospital after receiving a call around 2am on that fateful night, her daughter was in coma and breathing steadily with intra-venous I-V fluid being administered through her veins.
The deceased step dad, Andrew Sackey Williams an engineer at Ghana Telecom said he knew very little about the relationship until the incident occurred.
He said he suspects foul play because while his daughter died instantly, her boyfriend survived and was alive and kicking.
“ Its an accident, fine but why the cover up? Why was the vehicle parked, as it was being hidden away form the spot where the accident occurred? This is something we could not understand, he said.
