ONE OF Ghana’s top hiplife artistes, Sidney Ofori, whose hit-songs, Scent No and Obia nye Obia made impact on the music chart in the country, has announced that he was working tirelessly to release his latest album in June.
Currently, Sidney is busy recording his songs in the studio with the likes of Morris Babyface, Zapp Mallet, Apietus, and Sugar Stone.
The new album, to be released in mid-2007, marks Sidney’s ten years’ working experience as an artiste on the music front.
The new album from Sidney, shall bear a new name yet to be made public.
Sidney started his music career in 1997, with the group known as Nananom, whose members included Omanhene Pozo and Joe T. He later went solo with popular songs, like Apuskeleke, Scent No and obia nye obia.
Obia nye obia stirred great controversy across the country, as Apuskeleke brought back in vogue, tight-fitting skimpy clothes among Ghanaian women.
“I’m not coming back as Sidney, I’m changing my name,” he told SHOWGHANA.
