Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man''s Chest has won the favourite movie and best film drama prizes at the People''s Choice Awards, voted for by the public. Star Johnny Depp was named best male movie star and favourite male action star at the annual Hollywood awards.
"The fact that this award comes from the people, makes it all the more special," said the 43-year-old actor.
Click, starring Adam Sandler, was voted best film comedy, while animated movie Cars won the best family film prize.
The pairing of Depp and Keira Knightley in the Pirates of the Caribbean films was voted favourite on-screen match-up.
Jennifer Aniston, who starred in the hit romantic comedy The Break-Up, was voted best female star.
Her co-star Vince Vaughn was named best leading man, while The Holiday actress Cameron Diaz was best leading lady.
In pictures: Awards night Halle Berry, who appeared in the three X-Men films, was voted favourite female action star.
Members of the public vote online to decide the winners of the People''s Choice Awards, now in their 33rd year.
In the television category, hospital series Grey''s Anatomy was named best drama, with star Patrick Dempsey winning the award for favourite male TV star.
Two and a Half Men, starring Charlie Sheen, won best comedy, while Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria was voted favourite female TV star.
This year''s Oscar host, Ellen DeGeneres, picked up two awards - for favourite talk show host and favourite funny female star.
