Asamoah "50 Cents" Gyan 7/16/2007
Ghanaian international striker, Asamoah Gyan has gone for the microphone in addition to his football boots and is reported to have recorded his first single on the album of hiplife star, Castro.

The Udinese attacker who became the first Ghanaian footballer to score a world cup goal with two minute strike against the Czech Republic also becomes the first international football star to venture into the music industry.

The album, which is to be released sometime next month, is expected to stir the music industry in the view of the fact that Castro has been one of the hiplife star who has succeeded in moving music lovers with his releases.

By this feat, Asamoah Gyan follows in the footsteps of sensational boxer, Bukom Banku who released a tight single last year.

On the international scene, some top class sports persons have recorded successes in the music industry by recording albums, which became instant hits. Some of these sports personalities include South Africa’s marksman, Benny McCarthy who released a hit musical album recently.

Americans, boxer Oscar De La Hoya and basketball player O’Neil also chalked some successes in the music industry with their musical albums.
