Ghana’s representative at Big Brother Africa (BBA) 2, Kweku Tutu, popularly known as Kwaku T has denied allegations that he was hurting some feelings back at home while in the BBA house.
He told Beatwaves in an interview last Thursday at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra, where a press conference was organized for him, that he was not having any girlfriend back home who he might have created problems for with his actions in the BBA house.
He said people were rather supportive towards him and his family.
“What happened in the house did not affect anybody badly back home. People have rather been supportive to me and my family.
No, I don’t have a girlfriend; I’m very single”, he said with a jovial tone.
The BBA2 seventh evicted housemate said he fell in love with the house and all the other beautiful housemates but was silent on whether he was romantically involved with any of them.
However, he said all his actions in the house including the kisses were just part of ‘a game’ plan to help him stay in the house, thus he did not regret it as well as joining the T-unit group in the house.
“I don’t regret, in the sense that I can stand in front of you and say this is who I am whereas someone would look at it from a different perspective.
There were times I played the game to a certain extent but for the most part of it, I did not go there with that game plan. I went there to have a good time and learn from experience,” said Kwaku.
The man who is looking forward to releasing his new album very soon, thought he did nothing wrong to warrant the eviction.
According to him, it was after he came out that he realized most people thought they were courting in the house.
He as well indicated that a statement he made -“they would crumble under my feet” - referring to his other housemates, was a contributory factor to his eviction.
He said the statement made viewers see him as being too confident and as such, voted him out. Explaining, he said “what I meant was that if they match each of the housemates with me they cannot stand me and I did that for entertainment but the public took it differently”.
Comparing his aptitude with those of the rest of his colleagues, Kweku stated: “I think I have the overall strength, everything that one person embodied was in me and that is why it is easy for the public to choose a person like Max or Lerato because they are straight forward whereas I’m very general. So if you like well roundness, I am the guy.”
When asked the kind of legacy he left in the BBA2 house, Kwaku said “like Kwame Nkrumah said the liberation of Ghana is meaningless without the liberation of the entire African Continent, so as I was pushing Ghana I was pushing Africa. In doing this, I pushed my individuality as a Ghanaian.”
He as well mentioned leaving Ghana’s national flag on a tree in the BBA2 garden.
