Audition For Malaika Crown 2009 Opens |

Auditions have been opened for beautiful and intelligent young Ghanaian women to take part in the most prestigious beauty reality show - Miss Malaika Ghana 2009. The search begins in Kumasi tomorrow, Sunday May 10, 2009, at Miklin Hotel and continues in Accra on June 20 at Alisa Hotel. The 12 successful delegates who will make it to the finals will step into a new world of opportunities, fame and fortune. The crowned Queen will have a life changing experience, a brand new car, GH¢3,600 annual salary, international travel and an opportunity to become a Malaria Youth Ambassador. Sponsored by MTN with support from Gino and UB hair relaxers, Miss Malaika is expected to attract 21st century young ladies who are ready for a challenge and a crown. The format for the auditioning is this: delegates need to send their names to MTN short code 1758 and all other networks and follow registration instructions. The resultant ID code received should then be presented to registration officials at the venue of the auditions. Meanwhile, Miss Malaika Ghana 2008, Miss Tamara Aku Dzormeku has been very busy with her project since being crowned Queen in November last year. She was recently invited as a special guest with the Minister of Health, Dr. George Sipa Yankey at a malaria control event organised by the Malaria Control Board in commemoration of World Malaria Day on April 25. The programme, dubbed “Counting down Malaria,” was aimed at exhibiting some of the research results into the treatment and prevention of the disease. Tamara and the Minister of Health were conducted round an exhibition of some of the latest technologies in the research and treatment of Malaria. Miss Malaika Ghana pageant is the search for the “Most Beautiful Girl in Ghana”.
