The Challenge Reality Show Begins 9/9/2012
On Saturday September 8, over 800 young ambitious Ghanaian university graduates with a second class upper or better university degree, are expected to throng the premises of the British Council in Accra, where the all-important search for this season’s 12 finalists for The Challenge reality show will begin.
The educational reality TV show, the first and only one of its kind in Ghana, was launched some 5 years ago by the British Council of Ghana in collaboration with Gh-One entertainment TV and sponsored by telecom giant, TIGO and a host of others.
It is a life changing prospect where 12 out of the many who applied, got the rare opportunity to pitch their persona, intelligence and ingenuity against each other in a test for leadership qualities, creativity, astuteness, analytical thinking and a lot more.
The prizes have, over the years, been comparable to none.
The winner of The Challenge Season 4 among several other prizes, won a fully sponsored full board post-graduate scholarship from one of Europe’s most respected universities, the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.
The package this year included air tickets to and from the UK, stipends for food, warm clothing, free tuition, free accommodation and a lot more.
Robert Gordon University is an internationally acclaimed institution of higher education, training students from all over the world in many sought after fields of study.
The Times Good University Guide 2010 named Robert Gordon University as the best modern university in the UK offering a comprehensive range of courses in Nursing, Business, Law, Engineering, Science, Computing, Art, Design, Architecture, Pharmacy, Social Work and Health Sciences.
Students were trained with a combination of both theory and practical modules that made them immediately employable after their study. Robert Gordon graduates were some of the best sought after by employers across the world.
Show producer George Quaye of Gh-One entertainment TV, has confirmed that this was going to be the biggest season yet of Ghana’s biggest prize on TV and encouraged all interested graduates, with a second class upper or better university degree from any recognized university to text his or her name now to the TIGO short code 6012 or visit www.thechallengeghana.com for more details.
The Challenge is a British Council-Ghana initiative with sponsorship from TIGO and powered by Gh-One television.
With support from the Robert Gordon University, Databank, Beige Capital, EPP Books Services, The Challenge Season 4 promised to be power packed and full of educational fun.
