| Bob Marley Was My Midwife – Rita Marley |

Alpharita Constantia Anderson, the widow of reggae legend/musician Bob Marley and better known as Rita Marley, has disclosed that Bob Marley was her midwife during the delivery of Zigi Marley.
She revealed this statement on the ‘Black Pot’ segment of the ‘Taxi Driver’ show when Blakk Rasta, the host, was celebrating the birthday of Zigi Marley.
Rita Marley said they could not afford to go to the hospital so Bob Marley acted as a midwife and helped with the delivery and buried the after birth.
She further explained that Bob Marley was so excited because he was the first child and stated that what they went through made him special.
She also made known that she chose the name David Marley for her son but Bob Marley chose Zigi Marley because he wanted him to be a footballer.
When asked by Blakk Rasta that he had heard that Zigi Marley was supposed to be in Ghana any time soon, Rita said yes, Zigi Marley would be in Ghana and she was building her new studio to replace the burnt one to welcome his son.
