Talks on forming a new Dutch government between the Christian Democrats, PvdA (Labour) and ChristenUnie are set to resume on Wednesday, with the parties getting down to serious policy discussions.
Meanwhile, a new Maurice de Hond poll shows PvdA voters are not happy with their party’s position in the talks: the party would lose six of its 32 seats if an election was held tomorrow. The CDA would lose two seats, taking it to 39 and the orthodox ChristenUnie would be unchanged on six. A total of 40% of those polled hope the coalition talks fail.
