Companies that employ who are restricted from the labour market should receive some form of fiscal advantage, said René Paas chairman of the Christian trade union federation CNV in his New Year’s speech on Monday.
Speaking on BNR Nieuwsradio, Paas said it is a ‘social scandal’ that employers moan about not being able to find staff to fill vacancies while there are almost one million people looking for work.
Paas says the time for making well-meant agreements is over and employers must be given fiscal advantages for employing vulnerable groups on the labour market such as older people and those from ethnic minorities.
