“No hash cafes near schools” 2/7/2007
7 February 2007

AMSTERDAM – Hash cafes in The Hague located too close to schools will soon be banned from selling soft drugs.

The city council in The Hague decided this on Tuesday.

The municipality hopes this will help reduce soft-drug use among youth.

It is not yet known how many hash cafes will have to close their doors. The municipality did say that six schools in the city are facing problems from cafes selling cannabis nearby.
