AMSTERDAM — Ahmed Aboutaleb (Labour Party, PvdA) says he is honoured to have been offered the position of State Secretary of Social Affairs and he accepts it happily.
Currently one of Amsterdam’s alderman, Aboutaleb believes he can “make a difference” in his new role, De Telegraaf writes.
It remains unclear why Ahmed Aboutaleb did not get the post of the Minister of Integration, as had been expected.
Personally, he did not find it a problem.
“It’s not about the title, it is about the work”, Aboutaleb said, refusing however to comment on what was said in his talks with the party leader Wouter Bos.
