AMSTERDAM — The Dutch director of an orphanage in Nepal suspected of sexual abuse had child pornography on his computer which he had produced himself, ANP reports.
“We had seen child pornography on his computer, but we could not prove that he also shared the pictures with others. We tried to find out whether he was part of a larger network”, director of Nepalese organisation Voice of Children, Thapa Krishna said. The fact that the orphanage director was engaged in child porn production was discovered during a local police investigation that ended on Wednesday.
The 59-year-old Henk M. founded his orphanage in Kathmandu in 2003. The place now serves as home to 48 children.
According to Voice of Children, Henk M. has attempted sexual contact with almost all of them. Henk M. was arrested on 8 February after a colleague reported him.
