AMSTERDAM – Train passengers travelling to and from Utrecht should expect 30 to 60-minute delays throughout the day. The systems failure which started to cause problems on Thursday afternoon has still not been fixed.
Fewer trains have been operating between Amersfoort and Utrecht and The Hague and Rotterdam.
A spokesperson for ProRail said on Friday afternoon that the problems would continue into the evening rush hour.
Signals and switches must be managed manually at the moment until the system has been repaired.
