AMSTERDAM – Commuters'' organisation Rover thinks that rail infrastructure manager ProRail should be prohibited from starting any more work on the tracks.
A spokesperson for Rover said this on Tuesday in response to the software problems that seriously disrupted train service in Noord-Brabant this morning.
"If ProRail is unable to carry out the work without interrupting other service, then maintenance on the tracks should be stopped. It may not all be up to date in that case, but at least it works."
Rover is considering sending a letter to Minister for Transport and Water Management Camiel Eurlings.
