Tamale, Nov. 7, GNA - Deputy Superintendent of Police, Joseph Pius Kesseh, in charge of the Mobile Force Unit in Tamale who had a fracture on his right leg following the soccer riot at the Kaladan Sports stadium on Sunday in a match between Real Tamale United (RTU) and Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been flown to the Police Hospital in Accra forf further. Mr. Hashimu Alhassan Seidu, Principal Nursing Officer in charge of Surgical Ward II at the Tamale Regional Hospital told the GNA that Mr Kesseh was flown to Accra alongside one Nkrumah Kwame who was also on admission following injuries he sustained through a mob action at Dungu last Wednesday.

Mr Seidu said the transfer of the Police Officer whose condition was not so critical to Accra was based on the request of the Ghana Police Service in Tamale for the officer to be given further treatment at the Police Hospital.

He said the second injured person who sustained gunshot wounds in the Kaladan riots, Abdulai Karimu was responding to treatment while the third casualty Iddrisu Abdul-Rahman who absconded after receiving treatment could not be traced.
