No Angola Frindly For Stars
The Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Fred Pappoe has denied reports that the Black Stars are scheduled to play fellow World Cup participant, Angola in December ahead of the African Cup of Nations in January.
The Head Coach told CITI FM in an interview that the team has lined up a friendly game against Angola before Christmas as a preparatory game ahead of the Nations Cup in Egypt in January but Fred Pappoe has instead stated that there can be no friendly against Angola in December because the team will be in camping by then.
‘The team will camp late in December, precisely, on the 26th of December, and therefore a friendly against Angola is not possible’, he said.
He further stressed that the Management Committee had to shift the camping from the initial date of 19th December to the 26th because majority of the players will be engaged in club assignments.
