18 tennis players to train with German coach
Accra, Nov 25, GNA - The Ghana Tennis Association (GTA) has selected 18 players to train under the visiting German coach, Hans-Jurgen Mergner for the next two weeks beginning Monday, November 28.

The 18, eleven boys and seven girls drawn from the U-14, 16 and 18 categories are to use the training as a major preparation towards upcoming tourneys such as the International Tennis Federation (ITF)''s West and Central Africa Circuits scheduled for next January in Nigeria and Benin respectively.

Charles Kudjoe Attah, Secretary General of the Association in a release copied to the GNA Sports said the C.K Gyamfi Sports College in Winneba would be the camping base and tasked the players to converge at the secretariat on Monday for departure.

The German trainer is expected in the country next Monday. The male players are Manford Owusu, Robert Kpodo, Michael Nortey, Fred Egyir, Charles Asomani, Eugune Hammond, Albert Arthur, Benjamin Ababio, Kwasi Eyiah, Kwabena Ofosu Bamfo, Japheth Bagerbaseh with the girls made up of Emma Kudjoe, Kate Coleman, Anthoinette Cruickshank, Mariama Hamidu, Anita Kudjoe, Linda Parker and Vida Kumah.Source:
