Armed Force face Fire Service in handball knockout finals Accra, Dec 12, GNA - The male handball team of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will on Saturday take on their counterparts from the National Fire Service in the finals of this year''s Greater Accra Region Handball Knock Out finals at the Prisons Sports Complex Court.
GAF on their way to the final defeated Police service whilst Fire Service, champions of the Security Services and Sports Association (SESSA) Games scaled over HOSTAC Stars to reach the finals. Fire Service will also compete for honours in the female division of the knock out competition with the Police Service. The Fire women''s team qualified for the finals after disposing of HOSTAC in the semi finals while Police Ladies also beat Armed Forces Ladies in the semi finals to advance to final stage.
The competition has for the past ten years been under the sponsorship of Mr A.K. De Youngster, Managing Director of De Youngsters International School who would present trophies and cash prizes to the victorious teams.
