Kotoko must do the right thing -Grusah The President and founder of Kumasi-based King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grusah has indicated that he does not intent to stop any player from his team from moving to another club of his choice. He told AUTHENTIC KAPITAL SPORTS in a telephone on Kapital Radio in Kumasi that any club interested in any of his players are cordially welcome.
"I will not stand in the way of any player, but the fact is that the right thing in the name of the game of football must be done", he said.
"I need money to run my club much as others need my players to beef their teams,so it is a matter of proper and professional approach and crucial negotiations between my management and all other clubs".
Alhaji Grusah indicated that football has rules and those rules must be respected and adhered to by all and sundry in football circles around the world including Ghana.
"What worries me most is that most clubs take undue advantage of me and my players ! all the time and the time has come for me to stop it." Can you imagine how Kotoko went about things concerning My defender Shillah Illiasu, they induced the player to sign their CAF/MTN international competitions Card without my concent",he said.
"That move by Kotoko is clearly a breach of the regulations of Association football which surely is punishable by the laws of the game".Grusah lamented. Alhaji Grusah said he is prepared to negotiate with the management of Kotoko for the appropriate release of the player.
Adding that his worries come more from interviews the player granted the media that the management of King Faisal must behave professionally by allowing him to more to Kotoko.
"That statement from the player is insulting and boarders on ignorance on the part of the player and if we intend to go professioanl then the player stands to suffer the consiquencies of his decision to sign the card for Kotoko without my approval", "i have ordered him to retract! those statements immediately before i go into any meaningful negotiations with Kotoko for his release".He epitomised.
He denied media reports that he has conclude negotiations with Kotoko adding that the IMT Chairman of Kotoko Alhaji Njee has been speaking to him on the way forward on the player "Alhaji Njee has spoken to me on the phone and i quoted 700million cedis but he settled on 350million cedis from initial quotation of 300million cedis,we could not arrive at any meaningful point".
"So those who are talking about conclusions on the transfer of the player are not true". "I have not even heard anything about the 400million cedis people are talking about that we have concluded on because i am yet to meet with the Kotoko Management to finalise matters".
