Decastel returns for another stint in Tunisian club football
Tunisian side CS Sfaxien have appointed Swiss coach Michel Decastel as their new coach.
Decastel returns to the Sfax club for his second spell after coaching the side in 2004.
He takes over from Mrad Mahjoub who quit last week.
Mahjoub''s exit came just two months after their last-gasp defeat in the Champions League final.
The 2005 Tunisian champions are in crisis after president Slah Zahaf also confirmed he would be leaving the club in June.
To add to the club''s problems many players are refusing to train as they claim they have not been paid for several months.
Mahjoub steered Sfaxien to a surprise top place in their group, including ending the long-standing unbeaten record on Africa soil of Egypt giants Ahly.
The club then beat Orlando Pirates of South Africa in the semi-finals to set up another two matches against Ahly in the final.
They lost 2-1 on aggregate but only after the Egyptians scored a late winner in the second leg.
Sfaxien are in fifth place in the Tunisian league, seven points behind the leaders at the halfway point of the campaign.
Decastel has previous experience with Tunisian football, as he had managed Esperance in 2002.
