Canon Yaounde sign Brazilian duo |

Martin Etonge BBC Sport, Yaounde Three-time African champions Canon Yaounde have recruited two Brazilian strikers to boost their chances of winning the Champions League.
Washington Venancio dos Santos, 20, moves from Mineiro while 25-year-old Godofredo Jose de Olivera Netto joins the Cameroonian club from Fluminense for an undisclosed fee.
The two players arrived in the central African country last week and started training on Tuesday.
Canon''''s general manager Theophile Abega says the arrival of the Brazilians will improve their chances of giving Cameroon its first African club title since 1980.
"We (Canon) have to play an important role in the Champions League and we think our Brazilian players will be of great help to us," Abega told BBC Sport.
"They are intelligent players."
Canon are in the process of acquiring the necessary documents from Caf to enable their new recruits play in the preliminary Champions League tie against Etoile Congo in Brazzaville later this month.
Dos Santos had his first training session with Canon on Tuesday
The Yaounde club won the Champions League in 1971, 1978 and 1980 and Netto is confident they can help Canon regain their lost glory.
"We are happy to here, to play in this great football nation", Netto said .
In 2005 Canon became the first African club to recruit a Japanese player but Ryo Tozuka could not help them win the domestic title.
Tozuka will be back for the 2007 season which begins on 3 February.
