United States kit manufacturing giants Nike, have submitted proposals to the Ghana Football Association as the race for Ghana’s new apparel sponsors gets keener.
Ghana already has a tall list to choose from with five kit manufacturers including, Puma, Adidas, Pony and Asics all queuing to be picked.
Joy Sports source at the FA says Umbro, have pulled out of the process leaving the five companies to bid for the deal.
At present Ghana has no kit sponsor.
The Umbro kits worn by the national teams are being purchased by major sponsors-Goldfields Ghana. The arrival of Nike has made the competition much keener, which has German manufacturers, Puma in the lead.
Ghana’s last kit deal with Le Coq Sportif, a French firm, failed to yield any positive results after FIFA rejected the company’s samples presented for the last Olympic Games in Athens.
