Clubs face disciplinary committee 9/20/2005
Top premier league clubs, Accra Hearts of Oak, AshantiGold and Asante Kotoko will face the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association when the body begins its sittings this Thursday.

The Committee is expected to descend heavily on the guilty parties as it seeks to clamp down on the rising spate of violence at league centers.

King Faisal boss, Alhaji Karim Grunsah and his son-Kamel, will face the committee to explain their involvement in the violence during the Faisal-Hearts game at the Ohene Djan stadium.

The 22nd round of matches were marked by acts of violence at the Robert Mensah stadium in Cape Coast and the Len Clay stadium in Obuasi.

Top on the committee’s agenda is the violence recorded during Ebusua Dwarfs’ league clash with Kpando Heart of Lions at the Robert Mensah sports stadium.

The referee and his assistants were soundly beaten by the home fans for allegedly receiving bribes and failing to officiate the match in Dwarfs’ favor.

The committee will also commence investigations into the violence scenes recorded at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium during AshantiGold’s game with Accra Hearts of Oak.

In other disciplinary matters, Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, Aziz Ansah risks a lengthy ban if found guilty of punching Ebusua dwarfs attacker Ekow Ghansah in the face on Match Day 21.

Kotoko would also have to answer to charges of intimidating opposing teams with macho men.

The porcupine warriors together with Berekum Arsenals have been accused of employing the service of macho-men to harass opposing teams.
