All set for Ghana/Nigeria game 1/31/2007
Accra, Jan 30, GNA - All is set for the international friendly game between the Black Stars of Ghana and the Super Eagles of Nigeria at Brentford''s Grifffin Park Stadium, London on Tuesday, February 6. The game which is the 55th and will be the first in 2007 since the two sides met in the qualifying rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt last year which is expected to be characterised by the usual rivalry and fireworks that engulfs matches between the two West African giants.

In an interview with the GNA Sports from London, Justine Addo, Chief Executive Officer of JV2I Consult, organisers of the game described the clash between the two sides as an unofficial final of the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Ghana.

Addo said with the last defeat suffered at the hands of Nigeria by Ghana and the Stars impressive showing at the 2006 World Cup, the match therefore has a lot to offer fans of both sides.

According to the Chief Executive, whilst Ghana seeks to break the new found dominance of Nigeria over them, the Super Eagles will be relying on the form of Obafemi Martins, Nwakwo Kanu and Yakubu Ayigbeni who are among the top scorers in English Premiership to cause a stir.Source:
