Frenchman Patrice Neveu has been appointed as coach of Egyptian side Ismaili.
Neveu, a former coach of Guinea, will be in charge of the team for the next three-and-a-half years.
The 51-year-old will get a monthly salary of US$15,000 to manage the club.
Neveu was expected to replace German Otto Pfister as the coach of Togo last month but his appointment was blocked by the government.
The Frenchman had been in charge of Guinea, but resigned in November after poor results in the qualifying matches for the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
Neveu started his coaching career in France and has managed sides in Morocco, Niger, Tunisia and China.
