U17@Peru: Starlets hold crisis meeting
The technical team of the national under 17 team, the Black Starlets held a crises meeting in Peru yesterday after Ghana’s disappointing draw with South American side Costa Rica at the FIFA World under 17 cup.

The 1-1 draw notwithstanding, the team has also taken a lot of flak for the uninspiring nature of their performances in the two games played so far at the tournament.

Ghana has only managed two points out of a possible six at the championships after earning two back-to-back 1-1 draws since the competition kicked off last weekend.

The Black Starlets need to win against group leaders China in the last group match on tomorrow to have any realistic chance of progressing to the last eight of the tournament.

The purpose of the brainstorming session at the team’s base in Trujillo was to fashion out a winning formula for the must win game against the Chinese.

Present at the meeting was former GFA chairman, Ben Koufie who is part of Ghana’s delegation to the championships and Fred Crentsil, the chairman of the Starlets management committee.
