Muntari poised for Pompey switch

Muntari is discussing personal terms with Portsmouth
Udinese midfielder Sulley Muntari is holding talks with Portsmouth over a possible move after both clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the Ghanaian.
"We have been negotiating with Portsmouth for the permanent transfer of Muntari to the English club," said Udinese general director Roberto Zanzi.

"The negotiations have advanced and we have allowed the player to go to England to discuss his personal terms."

Muntari, 22, said earlier this month he expected to join the Premiership club.

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp is a long-time admirer of Muntari but was not prepared to pay the initial price tag of £11m in August 2006.

He stated: "We are hopeful we can get the deal done very soon. I have watched him for over a year and, at only 22, he is a fantastic player."
