Cameroon striker Samuel Eto''o has flown out to Tokyo for Wednesday''s friendly against Japan, his club Barcelona confirmed.
Eto''o had said that he had reached agreement with the Cameroon football federation not to make the trip as the Spanish league starts this weekend.
Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has been deprived of most of his team because of injury and national duty.
But the Spanish team confirmed Monday that Eto''o will return to Barcelona on Thursday and will play Sunday against Racing Santander.
Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster will be without 17 players for Saturday''s match against Atletico Madrid.
