The national under-17 team, the Black Starlets, are scheduled to re-assemble at the national sports college, Winneba, on 1st July to begin preparations for the world under-17 championship in Peru.
The coach of the side, David Duncan, told Joy Sports that is a tentative date which he hopes will be confirmed by the Ghana Football Association.
The Starlets, runners up at the last edition of the African under-17 championship in the Gambia, will join Gambia as Africa’s representatives in Peru.
Ghana has not competed in the last two editions of the junior championship.
The Ghana Football Association will meet with Duncan and his assistants as well as the management committee of the team on Friday on the team’s preparation for the Peru crusade.
But more importantly, the meeting will seek to resolve the differences between the technical team and the management committee.
Coach Duncan has threatened to quit the job if the current management team of the Black Starlets is not disbanded.
