All Blacks close to Sub Middle League
Swedru, Oct. 3, GNA - Swedru All Black last Sunday took a progressive step towards picking a slot to the Sub Middle League this year when they defeated Parma FC 2-0 in their Zone Two B match of the National Middle League at the Swedru Sports Stadium.

By their victory, the "Black Magicians" need just a point in their last two games to pave the way for their chance of playing in the Sub Middle League game en-route to a return to the premiership. All Blacks however had to wait till the second half before they were able to secure the three maximum points as the visitors matched them squarely in the first half of the match.

The home team scored the opener in the 60th minute when Baba Mohammed went on a solo move to beat three defenders in a row before he was brought down in the 18 yard box for Samuel Yeboah to convert the penalty kick.

Willie Brown who came on in the second could have increased his side''s tally when he had a glorious opportunity after receiving a perfect pass from Danjumah Jarfaro but the substitute ballooned the ball off target.

This did not however deter the home team as they continued to pile sustained pressure on the visitors and succeeded to score their second goal in the 85th minute through striker Bismark Aidan with another spot kick.

The award of the penalty came as a result of Ahmed Odenki Nyame was brought down in the box after he had beaten two defenders in a row before the incident.

Richard Nyanful''s kick was punched away by keeper Akwesi Yeboah but fortunately the ball rebounded back to him and this time round he made no mistake to hit the ball into the net for the second goal.
