Faisal threaten Kotoko’s lead 10/5/2005
King Faisal stands a chance of reclaiming the top position on the GT premiership log if they manage a win over Real Tamale United today.

Faisal, third have two points separating them from leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko play RTU in their outstanding game at the Kaladan park.

The Kumasi side would be attempting to repeat last season’s performance against Real Tamale United again.

Though Faisal coach, Francis Oti Akenteng was considering resigning after a league defeat to Real Sportive, the opportunity to beat RTU offers his side enough hope to stage a claim for the league title with five games to go.

After today’s game, the country’s premier league would again take another break to allow the Black Stars and King Faisal honour some games.

The Black Stars play Cape Verde on Saturday in Praia in their last world cup qualifier.

But the league would not be bouncing back the following week after the Stars’ game on Saturday.

King Faisal would jump onto the continental scene to play their last Confederation cup game against Tunisia, AS Marsa on October 16.
