Sunderland Confirm Asamoah Gyan To UAE 9/11/2011
GHANAsoccernet.com revealed exclusively to the world early on Saturday morning that the Black Stars striker had sealed the move.

He granted his first interview to GHANAsoccernet.com to confirm the move.

The English side have now confirmed the story revealed by Ghana’s leading sports news website insisting the move is beneficial to Sunderland.

Sunderland coach Steve Bruce said: “Anyone who has seen Asamoah play will know that he hasn’t been himself in recent months.

“This option suits all parties at the present time and the club is well-protected in the deal.

“Asamoah has three years remaining on his contract and of course my wish would be that he finds his spark again and we see him in red and white stripes next season in the form that first attracted us to him.”

Gyan joined Sunderland in a club record fee of £13m from French side Rennes after excelling at the 2010 World Cup.
