FIFA Confirms Ghana-Zambia Clash In Kumasi on 6 September |

FIFA has confirmed that the 2014 Brazil World Cup crucial qualifier between Ghana and Zambia will be played on Friday, September 6, 2013 in Kumasi, Ghanasoccernet.com can confirm.
The world governing body wrote to both Zambia and Ghana on Thursday to confirm the date, venue and time for the game.
The match will kick off at 4pm Ghana time.
Football Association of Zambia communications manager Erick Mwanza said in an interview in Lusaka that the world soccer governing body has confirmed the match to be played on a Friday.
“We received correspondence from FIFA today (yesterday) that the 2014 World Cup qualifier between Ghana and Zambia will be played on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at 16:00hours GMT and 18:00 hours Zambian time,” Mwanza said.
The Zambians are beating the war drums insisting they will come to Kumasi to defeat the Black Stars.
The Chipolopolo must beat the Black Stars to be able to reach the final phase of the qualifiers while the Ghanaian just need a draw to advance.
But the Zambians are insisting they will come to the fortress of Kumasi to beat Ghana to advance.
“As Renard said at yesterday’s (Wednesday) press briefing, we will fight to the last minute,” Mwanza said.
“Ghana are on top but we will fight whether it will be raining in Kumasi or there will be sunshine. We have sounded war drums and we want to get qualification to the last round.”
Ghana leads Group D with 12 points, one better Zambia. Lesotho and Sudan, who will clash in a formality match in Khartoum, have two points each.
