Why Muntari & Co were dropped
Ghanaians have been wondering why the Head Coach of Ghana''s National football team dropped Sulley Muntari and all the Ghanaian players in Israel from the 19-member team for the up coming international friendly match against the Saudi national team. A ghanaweb.com investigation has revealed that if ones passport reflected travel to Israel or indicated they were born in Israel, they could experience problems obtaining a Saudi visa or entering the country
....Passports must not contain Israeli stamps. Passports containing Israeli stamps must be renewed... Consequently, all the regular national team players in Israel - Pappoe, Panitsil, and Sammy Adjei - could have problems entering Saudi Arabia.
Udinese played in Israel and thus Sulley Muntari probably has an Israeli visa in his passport.
No official statment has yet been give by the Ghana Football Association.
